Hand Candy
I have always been a fan of wearing more rings than I have fingers, and I have so many different rings so that I can mix and match them. I love topaz and other coloured gems, whereas other times I wear plain gold or plain silver, sometimes chunky or statement rings, or sometimes lots of small ones. It amazes me how so many people can make such an art of this! And make it look to beautiful, often...

Neon Pop
Neon may seem like an obvious spring trend, but this year I have seen so many beautiful of examples of how to wear it right, and I just had to post some of my favourite pics. The trick is to make it subtle where possible, or to keep the outfit simple and then add a statement neon piece. That way its bright and beautiful, and you don’t risk looking like you are on your way to an 80s new wave...

Heavy Metal
I have seen so many pretty metallics and metal coloured fashion recently - it seems to be perfect teamed with pastels or neons. But I just had to post some pictures - here there are some amazing glitter and metal coloured pieces, as well as some incredible tailoring. The silver metallic skirt which is in a few of these pictures is from H&M but everytime I have been there they have been out of...

Landscape Prints
Loads of Landscape Prints around this season, and I love them! Its not something I recall seeing so much of ever before, but they are elegant and colourful, and perfect for the summer. Here is just a few of my favourites in the pictures below. Swinsuit brand We Are Handsome has done some of the best, and they also have some incredible animal face print swimsuits too (all to be featured in a...

DIY Caviar Nails
I first saw this a few months ago when Ciate released this as a ‘Caviar Manicure’ in 3 colours. Straight away I thought it was amazing and even went to put myself down on the waiting list (it sold out immediately) when I realised that actually, at £18 this was a rip off and (never one to turn down a DIY challenge) easily something I could do myself! So off to ebay I went (as I...

Avocado Fries
You may have guessed by now but I am an avid fan of avocados! I actually saw the idea for this on Pinterest, and knew straight away it was something I had to try. Its also extremely easy, all you need is eggs, flour and breadcrumbs. Take an avocado (not too soft as it will start to fall apart when frying) and chop it into long chip like shapes.   Now take your flour, one whole egg and...

Prints Charming
So many beautiful prints around this season, and I love how wearing multiple clashing prints can be so pretty and interesting. The Prada AW12 designs without doubt were my favourite from the shows this year, incredible how we can keep reinventing prints season after season and making them so different and more beautiful than last year. Here is a small collection of some pretty prints around at the...

Touch of Pink + my new Color Bug
I keep coming across lots of really beautiful pastel pink colours recently so though I would post a few of my favourite. Just something pretty to look at :) I have also just bought the most amazing product by Kevin Murphy called Color Bug, basically a really easy way to add colour t your hair which wipes on then simply washes off. I have only bought one in Pink but will buy a few other colours...

My ultimate Idol: Rihanna!
Nothing much to say other than I would probably cut my own fingers off to be friends with this girl. I have always absolutely adored her style, I like that she isn’t afraid of looking rather androgynous and slightly scary at times, but ultimately she is always absolutely drop dead gorgeous and anyone who doesn’t think she is the most beautiful human being on the planet needs their...

Sonja's Super Salad
My first food post! Its taken a while but here it is. Anyone who knows me well will know that I have a great passion for food and love to cook and experiment when I can, however sadly I have very little time for that most of the time. I’m determined to make more time to document my favourite recipes and dishes, but as I found out when doing this, its actually very difficult to cook something...

Sound of 2012: Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs
Most people will hopefully already know who TEED is, however if you don’t you need to start listening! TEED has been around for a few years now and my friends and I went to see him play at 93 feet east about 2 years ago, but since then he has grown massively (he is now signed to Polydor) and is sounding better than ever. His on stage costumes are absolutely incredible! Some amazing...

Tex Mex
I have seen so much Tex Mex inspired style this season that I had to do a post on it, as I had collected so many beautiful images. I really love this look as its colourful and beautiful, while still being a bit dark and daring. I have also noticed a lot of skull inspired jewellery around at the mo, but not the dark gothic type, more the bright Mexican day of the dead type, and I really love it....

Pitfield Cafe and Shop
Pitfield has only been open for a couple of months now, however seeing as it is a stone’s throw from our house we have visited quite a few times. It’s quite an interesting set up – there is a café on one side and a furniture shop on the other. The café has a deli style – they serve all sorts of salads and wraps, and of course there are some amazing cakes (what I go there for!). I love how nicely...

Emily Blunt for YSL Opium
I had no idea that Emily Blunt was going to be the new face of YSL Opium until I saw the advert by chance on TV the other day. I have to say that perfume adverts are a stupid guilty pleasure of mine, and this one I really love as its YSL and Emily - two of my favourites! Most people might know Emily from films such as Young Victoria or The Devil Wears Prada - I think she is a beautiful young...

Miu Miu Inspired Nails
I change my nail polish about as often as most people change their underwear, so whenever I have some time on my hands I look for something a bit more exciting to do with them. I wanted to mix glitter with block colour, and when looking through some pictures of my fave shoes from this season I cam across the Miu Miu glitter beauties. Obvioulsy I could only dream of owning these, so instead I just...

Style Hero: Olivia Palermo
Don’t ask me to tell you who she is or what she does because I don’t know, I’m pretty sure she is just another one of those socialite type fashion girls, but I have to say have you ever seen a more beautiful person! Her style is probably a lot more girly and polished than I would usually like but there is no denying that she is an absolute style hero. Every single picture I see...

All in the Detail
I have come across so many pretty pictures of beautiful detailing that I had to post! I have always been an avid fan of wearing more rings than you have fingers as many know, but the thought and creativity put into some of these details is just beautiful. No matter what else you have got on - a small flash of jewellery, embroidery, embellishment or even statement shoes can make all the difference....

Power Trousers
I am loving all the statement trousers we are seeing around at the moment - they are mainly very bold prints or colours, and such an easy way to brighten up any plain outfit. I have been looking for a good pair to add to the spring wardrobe but haven’t found the right fit just yet. But here are a few pictures to inspire you!

Thoughts of Summer
I can’t help but get overly excited about the summer and over the past few weeks my friends and I have been booking festivals and holidays, so now we really have something to look forward to! I have well and truly had enough of the cold and gloomy weather and have already put my winter coats away. The below is just a little collage of my thoughts over the past few weeks - mainly looking...

New Season Plaited Hair
I have become very bored of just wearing my hair down all the time, I’m determined this summer to do more with it - and at the the recent autumn winter shows we have seen some really beautiful plaited up dos which I have already been experimenting with. Some look like they require about 5 people to do but I have attempted some of the simpler ones. I still can’t do a fishtail plait...

Hint of Mint
No particular reason for this post other than I have noticed shades of this colour around a lot at the moment and so found some pics which I liked. The last image is my own nails which I did in this colour over the weekend.

Eye Popping Brights
I know this is the most cliche spring trend to talk about, but this year I think the bright pieces out in the shops and those I have seen on many are so different from any other year. The silhouettes are pretty and tailored, and the colours aren’t neon or garish, just beutiful tones which compliment each other. So obviously I had to update my wardrobe slightly! H&M currently have the...

Out of this World
I really love all of the beautiful galaxy prints going around at the moment - I have been searching for the perfect pair of leggings but no luck just yet. Anyway here are some awesome galactic prints to get you inspired - really easy and fun way to liven up any dull outfit!

American Elle Oct 2011
I had to post these pictures because both the styling and the photography in this shoot is just amazing - I know its quite simple and has that late 80s Versace vibe to it but it just looks incredible - the colours, the models, everything. This for me is what a good mix of fun and fashion should look like. I just love it all! Enjoy :)

Bright Eyes for Spring
We have seen some amazing and beautiful eye make up over the last few weeks at the shows and I have been saving so many pictures of them for my own inspiration, so I thought I had to do a post and share, and also find out what other people thought - separate the good, from the beautiful, from the wacky! I really do love the Prada eyes and although I would never wear it as bold as this, the combo...

My mini project: Mega Studded Jacket
As some of you may know I have been in love with Burberry’s leather studded jacket since the first time I saw it and since I cannot afford to buy one, I decided to make my own. I have quite a few leather jackets, many of them studded, but this was going to be something quite different! Plus I quite fancied an enjoyable task that didn’t involve staring at a screen. Below are a few...

Model of the Moment: Cara Delevingne
I know Cara has been around for quite a while but only in the last year or so has she really come into the limelight. Particularly after London and Milan fashion weeks, where she opened and closed the show for many shows including Burberry and Blumarine. She is just beautiful, and still very young. She has often said she is the ‘shortest model at fashion week’ so this year she must...
